Louise Charbonnel — SKIN
Context
As part of the release concert for her album, Louise Charbonnel entrusted us with capturing the song Skin at the Foyer des Marins.
Our approach
Our main challenge was to showcase Solal Galli's performance as he transitions from bass to synthesizer throughout the piece. Our camera movements were choreographed to capture this dual performance between Solal and Louise. We chose a discreet approach, keeping the camera operator out of frame, to preserve the intimacy of the moment. Every shoot is meticulously prepared in advance: location scouting, choreographing camera movements, and rehearsals synchronized with the artists' sessions.
Stage lighting
The Foyer des Marins offered a distinctive setting that we wanted to elevate. We designed warm, subtle lighting to accentuate the skin tones and wood textures, while strategic spotlighting behind the stained glass windows enhanced the venue's architectural beauty.
