Live recording of the duo Robin PAILLET and Rémi BRIFFAULT.
Our approach
The duo wanted an authentic decor. We met them in Paris for location scouting at the Bon George bistro, where we tested the camera angles and established a plan with camera locations. Then a rehearsal session with the musicians allowed us to prepare the recording device before the shooting day.
Sound before image
Filming took place over two days, with two hours to record, before service began at the bistro. For both pieces, we varied the camera positions in order to renew the points of view from one title to another. On this project, sound quality came first. Each instrument had its own specialized microphone, complete with a boom to capture the ambiance of the venue.
